James Christie's book is called "Dear Miss Landau"
And mine is called "Aldeburgh - a song of the sea "
If you can't find them in a library, they are both available on Amazon

Disturbing but unsurprising comment in the Lincolnshire Echo of 8th August that "Lincolnshire County Council is effectively sticking two fingers up at people in the way it is handling the issue of library closures."
In brief, the story (copied onto the website "thisislincolnshire.co.uk") states (among other things) that "a cynical person might be inclined to suggest this part of the consultation was specifically designed to give the results that the council wants to hear and avoid the answers they don't."
Sounds likely, and I hope campaigners make much of this (anyone want me to go to Lincolnshire as well?), but I am curious as to how much noise the actual librarians in Lincolnshire will make.
Let us hope, quite a lot.
My motivation is actually, mainly, that I still rather like libraries and do not want to see them disappear. Up until now, I hadn't considered the pretty obvious fact that library workers are also part of the council.
Nearly fifteen years ago, on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council's library people, I voluntarily catalogued a local subscription library in my own time at weekends (not actually Leadhills Miners Library, but you're close...). They promised to give me a letter of thanks at the end if it, written on council-letterheaded paper, which could be used as a reference.
I delivered. They broke their word with the classic quote "ooh, we cannae do that, the council widnae like it..."
That's verbatim, by the way.
The locals rallied round and wrote me a letter of thanks insead, which I appreciated very much. I swore, though, that I'd never lift a finger to help the council again after that, and I never will.
What I didn't think about much then was the fact that it was the library section of the council which had let me down like this.
I hope librarians and library campaigners alike will voice their disapproval of Lincolnshire County Council's activities. I have no doubt the campaigners will, but I do doubt the librarians will. However, I would like to see them standing around with a few placards at the very least.
Well, never seen Skegness... I believe it's very nice this time of year.
