Perkins pounces

Perkins has made the national headlines because she has pounced on the Ministry Mouse.

Once again Shirley Burnham is right. I can understand what she says-- why can't the officials and ministers do the same?

Now we know why Mrs Hodge's Review lacked a little je ne sais quoi -- problem is, the poor dears at DCMS are bored. I hope the Prime Minister or his Secretary of State will give them something nice to do. Perhaps readers of this Blog can mention it to them and suggest that saving public libraries and front line staff is not boring at all and that this is a 'hobby' DCMS might take up.

THE DAILY TELEGRAPH : 22nd March

"In one booklet from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, officials said stress-related problems could be caused by having 'too little work or responsibility' and suggested that pressured workers take up a hobby to alleviate anxiety."
