Camden libraries shut all their branches
No, not another April Fool's day story - but true again. Today my cheery journey to the local library was met with an A4 sheet on the door advising me that all the libraries in the borough were shut for a 'Staff Day'.. i hope they had a nice time. Mums turned away at the door etc. You could hardly imagine Tesco's doing that could you.

Hi - I'm trying to get in touch with Tim Coates for a piece I'm writing on libraries for The Guardian.

Hey Rob, for a comment about libaries might it be an idea to ask a librarian rather than an ex-bookshop chain owner? Just a thought...

I don't see anything wrong with asking users of Libraries for comments...

Many thanks for this. The article was in the Guardian on Friday about the new library in Birmingham. I think you'll find Rob obtained comments from a variety of people: councillors, librarians, authors and so on. It was a full page and very interesting article.
