Roy is rowing up the Ribble

Exasperation on Lis Pub Libs (I wish I could provide public access to it-- but that is beyond our skills) as the debate on Public Library Fines, goes into tail spin

"Where are our so called leaders in all this. Don't they discuss policy and public relations, and time and motion and best practice, and how to attract and retain users? I know it is August and there are the Olympics, but someone must be working."

Readers of this blog could sign up if they are really that interested. It's not usually quite so heated though...
Out of interest Perkins, how wide is the readersip of this blog? Do you know how many hits you get per week? I assume that posters make up only a small percentage, and you have a goodly number of lurkers.

The blog gets over 3,000 hits each week day. Around 2,000 on Saturdays and Sundays. 93,455 hits in June. I'd be glad of advertising, if anyone wanted to (even LMS providers, although we don't promise to be polite to them!)

Is the query as to whether lis-pub-libs is a public list or not? Posts on lis-pub-libs are accessible from the web without logging in, e.g., Roy Clare's response to this post (note but a few hours away)... http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0808&L=lis-pub-libs&P=9966
