The sun always shines in Bloggington
This blog is to be given an illustrator and turned into a children's story. I'm not kidding. And nothing will give me greater pleasure. "Start work after Christmas," say the instructions, but that sounds like an invitation to begin straight away.

The lottery funding to - "put libraries at centre of communities" sounds wonderful, BUT only local authority library services can apply and they are limited to one application.
Will small communities where there are still libraries have any chance to share this pot of gold?

I think this is a correct question. I don't know why there is a presumption that library authorities have the best understanding of their local communities. There's not much evidence of that.
On the other hand if there really was an intention to meet the library needs of individual communities, I don't see why parish councils or friends groups could not have applied.
