The disgraceful public library service in London

Recent entries showed that a Mori poll showed that even three years ago only 20% of residents in London thought the public libraries in London are satisfactory. Around the rest of the country that figure is still around 65% but in London the relevance and usefulness of public libraries is declining very rapidly. I believe that the feeble efforts intended to make them attractive to a particular juvenile group have not only made them unpleasant for those people who were using them but have also failed in their effort with the audience they were trying to tempt

I think I must keep on and on about the awful libraries of London. I hope to attact the attention of national press, the BBC and the Evening Standard.

I am going to start naming the names of councillors and officers, senior and not so senior, so if anyone wants to mount a vigorous defence, I'm very keen to hear from them.
