Another Record Day on the site
The heatwave in Bloggington on Sea goes on- and here on the town website we had another record number of hits. Aside from the day that the BBC gave the town a plug on its news broadcast, yesterday was our busiest day. More strawberry milkshakes with ice cream were sold than ever before.

AN OFFER YOU CANNOT REFUSE.
My aunt, Mrs Picker, runs a winkle and whelk stall on Scarborough Sands where I sometimes help out when in need of funds. She has offered me a franchise to bring a cloned stall down to Blogginton on sea where the natives would be introduced to the delights of whelks, cockles, winkles, crab in season, and pickled eggs. (Large jar.) These, I would suggest, are more wholesome than strawberry ice creams and milk shakes which the residents currently consume. They are high in protein and minerals, especially zinc, virtually fat free and organic. We are able to bring the stall and set it up on the Prom this week. Please advise. Bklogginton-on-Sea`s librarian may also be interested in our book, A HISTORY OF PICKERS WINKLES by Sacheverell Sitwell. (Crustacean Press)
Dear Miss Hill, Please advise Mrs Picker that following a full meeting of Bloggington Council, the Lord Mayor (Mr Tomato) has authorised me to thank you on behalf on the people of Bloggington on Sea. The libraries have placed an order for said book at Bollikins the bookseller and the offer of a whelk stall, being something of a northern curio and being open to social inclusion as we are which will open the people's mind to other ways of life is accepted. We are very sorry to hear of the demise of Lord Ginger Nut of Television who drowned at the weekend in a cup of very hot tea. Watch out for missiles from our Aircraft Carrier. A nuclear attack on the offices of DLA (Delay) is imminent Do not engage with Dumplings. I am your humble etc. This is a coded message. Grimsdyke.

Delighted to hear Bloggington on Sea is still basking in a heatwave. I hope Mr Grimsdyke remembers to wear his panama hat, as he sits in the sun savouring his strawberry milk shake with cream. It wouldn't do for him to overheat.
Dear Miss H. I can assure you that Mrs Sideloader is keeping an affectionate and wary eye on said gentleman who has his hanky on his head and his trousers rolled up. One thing to note is that Mr G always takes a small suitcase on the beach. We do not know what it contains.
